Equality, Diversity & Inclusion in Residential Childcare
This Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) training course is designed specifically for professionals working in residential childcare, equipping them with the knowledge, understanding and practical skills needed to create inclusive, respectful and nurturing environments for children and young people. Rooted in the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and the Equality Act 2010, the course explores identity, intersectionality, and the impact of discrimination, while providing tools for embedding inclusive practices in everyday care, planning, and communication. Through reflective learning, real-life scenarios and interactive activities, participants will be empowered to champion equality, challenge bias, and celebrate the diverse identities of the children they support.
